Advantages: Huge website with loads of news and information

Disadvantages: There are sometimes huge arguments on the forum which can be uncomfortable reading!

Digital Spy is an enormous showbiz website split into an article-based section and a large community forum. The article-based section is split into genre-based categories (e.g. "Soaps") and is packed full of news, gossip, episode summaries, "spoilers" (sneaky previews of upcoming plots) and more. It's a brilliant resource for finding out what's happening with your favourite actors and programs and to get the premiere dates for shows. For fans of Big Brother, there is a huge section dedicated purely to that show which includes practically minute-by-minute accounts of what's happening in the house (and outside the house on eviction nights!). The forums are an incredible community of TV watchers and showbiz fans in general and are also split into sub-forums by genre and specific show. As with most online communities, there is a diverse spread of opinion and there are plenty of arguments, debates and discussions - sometimes on particular programs and sometimes on particular actors or celebrities. It's the place to hear showbiz gossip, rumours about TV shows and discussions of plots (which can be handy if you're trying to make head or tail of shows such as Lost!). I really do like the Digital Spy website and I do visit often - especially if I'm trying to find out when a particular TV show is returning.
