Advantages: Full of gossip and stories to keep you entertained for hours

Disadvantages: I waste far too much time here

Digital Spy (www.digitalspy.co.uk) is rather a guilty pleasure. It is a website that I check religiously everyday but would never admit it to anyone. It is basically a celebrity gossip site, operating on the same type of news as 'Heat Magazine' but on a much larger scale. The information it provides includes:

- Soaps:
Provides written summaries, recapping on what has happened in recent episodes of you favorite soaps including Eastenders, Hollyoasks, Coronation Street etc as well as 'spoilers' to give you a hint at will be happening over the coming week.

Cast Interviews - lets you know what your favourite actors are up to and what their future projects will be. It also includes interviews with some producers of these shows who sometimes give away further spoilers.

Discussion Form
An interactive blog whereby members can discuss their opinion of what is happening on television - actors, storylines, characters etc.

-What is happening in the personal lives of celebrities

Interviews with prominent people in the world of showbiz, highlighting what is going on in their lives at the moment and what their future work will include.

- Reality Television

Up to the minute feeds on what is happening in The Big Brother House or information and news on X Factor Contestants or Strictly Come Dancing.

Each of these sites also has an individual form for users to discuss what they think about contestants and share any stories they may have about them.

I use this site mainly to check out what is happening in the X Factor at the moment - there are two ways in which I do this. Digital Spy publish gossip on all of the contestants and generally have an interview with the last singer to be eliminated from the competition. It is a great way to pass some time if you're bored, however, not a thing many us will admit to.

Summary: A rather guilty pleasure
