I started making cards about 3 years ago now maybe even longer. But around where i live there wasn't really anywhere i could but supplies from so i ended up relying on the internet. One of the first things i bought came from a company who strongly reccomended the site. The site is full of various ideas for cards, scrapbooks and various other crafts, with step by step instructions for some of these. When I first started card making (and latterly scrapbooking) a couple of years ago, one of the websites I found I used the most was DOcrafts.co.uk (part of the Design Objectives group). It has changed a bit in that time, making it more of a community place with blogs and the like, but I still use it to check out products and project ideas. Do Crafts is an umbrella brand for many popular, mainstream craft brands such as Papermania, X-Cut tools, Anita's and Quickutz to name a few. When I was forced to give up work some years ago I found myself at a loose end. After all, I had worked for most of my adult life. I was also a divorced mum trying to give my daughter the best possible life, whilst still being around for her as much as possible.
