It's a grassroots movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Each local group is run by a local volunteer moderator (them's good people). Membership is free. Joining is easy: you register to join your local site/sites and the site moderator sends you a quick email to fill out asking where you live and a few details about you. Many people throw their unwanted, but still useful stuff, in the wheelie bin, or if it is too big, take it to the du... Read the full review: I love a freebie by MisterReview |

I first joined my local group approximately one year ago and have found it so useful. Basically, people join up, and then are supposed to offer an item to the group. This can be anything you no longer use, from hardcore to old kitchen units and baby toys. When you receive a reply from a group member who would like your item, you simply let them know a time and date that you would like them to collect, and that s it done! After you have offered an item (although you don t have to have rec... Read the full review: Fab local recycling by ikklejojo |
