Advantages: None that I can see

Disadvantages: Cost lots of money, unreliable, time consuming

So dooyoo, are catching on to the mobile phone craze, and in the process trying to make a bit of cash!!

It's called "iSMS" and now you can make consumer decisions wherever you are (well only if your mobile is on Vodafone, and it you want to waste alot of cash). Yes as I have it is currently only available on Vodafone and it is very expensive - Each message received costs you a whopping 59p. In the case where no information could be found on Dooyoo, the received message will be charged at a disgraceful 24p. Additionally you will be charged by your operator for the standard fee for sending SMS messages (meaning it will cost another 10 or so pence on top).

Can any one else say scam!

Dooyoo say that this iSMS has an easy 5 step service making it easy to use -
(1)Text "dy" to the number for your operator (8700 for Vodafone)
(2)You will receive a welcome message (so 1 message)
(3)Text either a predefined KEYWORD or search for a product (2 messages)
(4)You will receive a top5 or product information on the product you searched for
(5)Text "1"-"5" to get detailed information about a product in thetop5 (3 messages).

So in all you will need to text at least 3 messages, costing around £2 that is if any of the top5 products are the ones you wanted, and if you ever have used the normal Internet search engine you will have figured out that it isn't very reliable. So if you need information on a product fast, sending 3 texs and waiting for replies costing you £2, I am sure isn't the fastest and cheapest.

Remember it said "KEYWORD", well you can find these keywords on the website (so you actually can't look for single products but just a group, in which their might be any number top5 products). The list of keywords are -
Computers: videocard
Electronics: md, tv, dvdplayer, digitalcamera, mobile, pda
Food & Drink: beer
Travel: airlin
es, touroperators, travelinsurance
Household: cleaning
Lifestyle: skincare, makeup, perfume, condom
UKGuide: LondonRestaurant
Service: bank, creditcard, insurance
Kids&Family: babyfood, babytoys
Games: pcgame, psgame, ps2game, dcgame, n64game
Books: FictionBook, NonfictionBook
Media: cinema, dvd, movie, action

If you don’t know the keyword, you can run a search by simply typing as much of the product name as possible and sending it to 8700 (meaning you can run up your phone bill as much as you like).

The more accurate the name is to Dooyoo's content, the higher the chance that the Dooyoo search engine will find it. If we cannot find what you are looking for, you will only be charged a minimal fee (which is around 39p).

After weighing up all the pros and cons of this "scam", I decided to give Dooyoo a chance, after the have give me useful advice in the past. But this was a big mistake I ended up spending over £3 on my phone and not even finding what I was looking for!!

This is defiantly not Dooyoo's best idea, and don't give this con the light of day! A big NO NO!!
