Advantages: Entertaining, Interesting and gives information about local ammenities. Great!

Disadvantages: Outdated pictures, sometimes poor zoom.

Google Earth is brilliant, when I first discovered this programme I spent hours searching for places I knew and my friends houses! (Sad but you've probably done it as well!!)

I also really love looking at famous places such as the Grand Canyon, Statue of Liberty, Venice etc... I think the features included in the programme such as historical information and Imagaes are a brilliant feature, especially if your like me and like to research attraction before you go.

Goggle Earth is just another example of how brilliant and incredibly useful Google is.... I don't even use other search engines and make google use of the maps and note book features and for my academic career I use the google books alot.

Anyways, back to Google Earth, the programme is really useful for letting you know how far away something is, and the path setting is great because that means you get the actual distance rather than just a 'as the crow flies' distance. Also its great for looking for attractions around a certain place or the nearest resturant....I really do find this very interesting.

Also...just for fun, if you search google earth on You Tube, you get loads of really fun videos and the local points of some really funny looking stuff, such as pictures of planes which becasue of the cameras location looks like its parked somewhere...yes i know i sound sad but search it and you'll see what I need. And you can see heard of elephants and other animals...just another way this programme keeps me entertained.

Right, the negatives, some of the pictures are about 5 years out of date so sometimes the information given is not current, and the zoom feature is poor in some areas but compared to the rest of the programme they really don't matter!

Summary: Really love this programme, you can spend hours getting lost in this...brilliant!
