Looking for some warm, homely Italian gastronomic inspiration. Maybe the odd wee ‘hug’ from my ‘cyber-Mama’, or just want to pay a quick visit to Italy on the net?? You can do all of these things and more by visiting this excellent web-site which has essentially been set up to promote the ‘Ragu’ range of pasta’s and sauces - yummy! Now I realise that the actual site has been put in under the ‘humour’ category, in dooyoo, but don’t let that put you off. I wouldn't really put this site under the 'humour' category. Okay, when visiting it, I suppose it does look vaguely funny to start with, but it's more of a cookery website, than a humour one! www.eat.com is basically a website all about 'Ragu' pasta and all the other stuff they do, like pasta sauces etc. On the homepage is a photo of a typical Italian Mama with her pinny on! There's a speech bubble in which she is moaning about how she does all the cooking, and there's never anything left for herself to eat! There's a cookbook section. Eat.com is not funny. It's a bit cheesy but certainly wouldn't fall into a 'humour' category. This is an advertising site for Ragu Sauce. Mama offers advice on various issues: 'If you don't have good food and good friends you aren't living right.' Mama makes various coomments depending on where you go: living room, kitchen, etc. These are not even mildly funny. You can 'talk to Mama' which could be amusing, I don't know, I didn't try. There is a goodies section which will (the authors say) contain 'goodies' in the future. There is also a sweepstake section which doesn't offer anything ...
