Advantages: practical, can be used anywhere, low battery usage
Disadvantages: none for me
Ever dreamt of chatting with your best buddies during class hours or even having a conference chat with your friends from foreign countries while working, well your prayers have been answered with ebuddy.
ebuddy exists since 2003 created by Paulo Taylor as e-Messenger, and was changed to E-buddy in 2006. E-buddy allows you to connect to Windows live messenger. Yahoo Messenger, AIM, ICQ, MySpaceIM, and Facebook, that is basically anything that is important to social life, .
Ebuddy is available in two formats, the "ebuddy web messenger" and the "ebuddy mobile messenger". Ebuddy web messenger allows you to chat free without having to download the applications for, which is really a time keeper, it has basically everything that there is on a downloaded application but however you cannot have the variety of nudges, winks and emoticons you would want to. It allows webcam chat though.
Ebuddy mobile messenger is available for any mobile, Iphone, IPod Touch and even Android with the advantage of multi networking, uploading pictures, sending pictures or even "buzzing" your friends and even receiving offline messages.
Using mostly ebuddy mobile, I like it very much, when you download ebuddy for the first time, you are asked to register, for the usual login ID and password, you are then asked to configure the logins for the accounts you are asked to give your IM ids for ebuddy to connect and you are then set to go.
You have the possibility to choose between different colors: blue, violet, red, black, pink, orange, green. What is cool is the different possibilities to view your friends from different account, you can either choose to divide them in the "online" and "offline" group, or in "Groups" according to the groups you created on the web, or by "Accounts" where you can divide them according to the networks they are in.
You can also choose to show your contacts by their nicknames or by their email addresses and which is most important to me is to be able to hide the offline contacts. In the end, ebuddy is constantly upgrading itself to become better.
It is recommendable to all those who don't have a personal computer or who are always out of home, in fact ebuddy is like having your friends close by even if they are far away. It is easy to download (takes a few second) and it is free yeay.
Try it someday
