Newest Review: ... was iName, who managed it all pretty well. Then came along net2phone, and with it the rapid demise of email.com. While net2phone now owned email.com, they let Outblaze look after the actual running of things. Accounts were (over a painfully long number of months over which time a user could not access their account) transferred to the new systems. This went diabolically - one of my accounts was left with no messages - I had to mail support to request them to restore all my messages, and another account ended up with 3 copies of each of the hundred or so messages. A popup advertisement once you've logged in, a flood of advertiseme... more

"E-mail is our only business and we do know that your e-mail account is very important to you." That's part of the reply I got after I enquired about login difficulties. But don't you believe it. I've been using my email.com account for several years (back when it was pretty new, the company was proud of providing a very good service with good features such as email forwarding and a very low spam count and most importantly "An email address for life". It was, at the time, a great service to use and best of all, it was free. That was when Snap were running the show. Then NBCi took over, still a good service, ...  Read the complete review

Yet another free web-based email provider? Perhaps. I wouldn't have looked at it if my email provider hadn't let me down. I'd been happily immersing myself in Fetchmail.com, chortling with glee over the simple, speedy interface and the customizable outgoing email addresses until admin problems wiped the smile off my face. "Fetchmail is suffering from intermittent failure at the moment. We are awaiting for a replacement item of hardware that will fix the problem." Fine - except we've all been waiting for over a month. So, back I went to Emailaddresses.com - my trusty online bible of free email providers. Noting, with a trace of dismay ...  Read the complete review

email.com: Good for simple emailing (464 words)

I've had pretty good luck with email.com over the past year. I don't use it as my primary account but I do use it every day. I've found that although its feature set is not on a par with hotmail, that it is more reliable and a bit quicker. You also have better chance of getting the name you want there. Features: multiple folders, frames interface, junk mail filter, 5MB storage, attachments, address book, ability to retrieve mail from existing POP3 accounts Features lacking: Custom filters, auto-replies, priorities, custom dictionary The system has only been down for upgrades once in my experience, and is usually quick and readily ...  Read the complete review

I have to admit, im only a novice when it comes to using the email.com service as I have only been using email.com for about a month now. Advantages: It's free! Yes thats free!! Its easy to log on. Easy to create the account in the start. Generally an accessible layout. It's easy to read your mails on screen. Disadvantages: The main problem I have noticed with it so far is that it has been it is just very, very slow. It seems to take several minutes to access the account. I even timed it took 4 minutes to delete one email! Another disadvantage is the fact that, if your like me, and you have a spare 10 minutes ...  Read the complete review

email.com: No hyper emailing, with the name that says it all (172 words)

Email.com is relatively unknown in the world the emails, however, if u want a email service that is easy to use, that is quick, then this is the one. Email.com also has to win the prize for the best name, it is surprising that not as many people use this service as some of the big names, like Hotmail. When your into your inbox, not only can you read your emails, etc, there is also a bar at the top that allows you to email, chat, entertainment, without the added need of going to a separate site. Signing-up is easy, just to go email.com and it takes only a few minutes to get the service running. When you log into the account, the speed is quick. ...  Read the complete review
