Having recently updated my mobile contract and getting a nice new phone I was left with the old one. It was working and I considered trying to sell it but to be honest I am hopeless when it comes to listing stuff on auction sites so when I saw envirofone on Quidco I decided to give it a go.
The first thing to note is I got (well if it arrives) £4.50 cashback from Quidco, nice start. Envirofone had my phone listed, a Nokia 6500, and they were offering me £48. I filled in my details and two days later received a large envelope, with free postage, and sent off my phone. You don't need to include accessories but you can if you want to, they won't pay any extra though. The only accessory I had was the charger but we kept it as a spare because it fits my daughters phone. Two more days and I got two e mails, one said my phone had arrived safely, the second to tell me it had passed the tests and they would be sending me a cheque. Three days later and the cheque arrived.
A very easy process, over £50 profit for me and I can feel good about recycling. I am going to go and have a hunt around, I'm sure I've got more old phones stashed somewhere.
Summary: Making an easy £50
