epinions.comNewest Review: ... of reviews I had written on Dooyoo. Differently from Dooyoo, there is no minimum payout for each review you write, although from the research I had done and some of the reviews on Epinions I had read, it seems that at least in the past they offered up to 1 Dollar just to post. The way you accrue money, since on Epinions there are no miles, butcents to be made, is based on how frequently ... more |

Epinions is an American website which is pretty much similar to Ciao or Dooyoo. It is open to botb USA based and non USA based reviewers, but while for those based in USA (or at least able to provide an address in USA) the thresold for payout is 20 USD Dollars, for those out of USA it is 100 USD. My experience is the following. I decided to give it a try. Registered, created an account, and started posting a couple of reviews I had written on Dooyoo. Differently from Dooyoo, there is no minimum payout for each review you write, although from the research I had done and some of the reviews on Epinions I had read, it seems that at least ... Epinions is an American based review site similar to dooyoo or ciao. Unfortunately, my experiences with this site have been ruined by a number of things. *Ease of Use* The website layout isn't as user friendly as dooyoo, with the feel of the site rather rushed and tacky. Also it is hard to find the search bar and the sign in button, not good for new user, like myself. Also the review template, where you write in your review, is stupid. It has like 7 or 8 different sections, which could be boiled down to 4 or 5, like dooyoo. And having only a 20 minimum, some reviews aren't exactly high quality. *The Community* Horrible is a good way to ... Read the complete review

I found out about Epinions 2 weeks ago and decided to give it a try. Epinions is an American based website which is very much similar to Dooyoo. Very much like Dooyoo, you can post reviews there, you get rewarded for it in proportion to the amount of revenues they generate for the website (this is different from Dooyoo) and you can also read reviews if you are a consumer. The website is very much American based and some categories reward much better than others. Consumer good like electronics and computers, together with cars are the categories which get more hits. Differently from Dooyoo, Epinions give you a share of the ... Read the complete review

I do not know how many reviews are currently available on Dooyoo, and how many products, but I believe it is less that mighty Epinions. Epinion.com is aimed at the American public. They boast more than one million reviews and more than 200,000 different products available. Is this is the idea of a review paradise? In terms of payment, you do not make too much here. The way you get compensated is directly linked to the quality of your review and, in some obscure way, to the amount of revenues generated by your review. I never fully understood how they calculate this, although they claim that basically they give you a share of the profits generated by ... Read the complete review

Epinion has been around for many years and is the most used American website for consumer reviews. From a consumer's point of view, and I mean an American based consumer, this website offers a very good quantity and quality of content and the reviews cover many items, I guess more than on Dooyoo. We know that Americans like to talk, but I think they also like to write. From our point of view, we based in UK, I do not think it is really worth signing up to Epinions, firstly because they reward you very little, although they run a promotion last year, offeirng 1 dollar for each written rteview, and secondly because they pay by Cheque and ...
