expedia.co.ukNewest Review: ... face it, there's no shortage of taxis from major airports!! The Expedia website is easy to use: you can search for locations - either quite specifically or just by general areas/counties - and browse through choices of hotels, departure dates and flights to make your perfect holiday for your chosen date. You can view alternative options that might work out cheaper, such as changing your departure airport or the dates of travel. It's also possible to browse weather reports and forecasts and find out other information such as passport and visa requirements for different countries. There's also a handy currency converter so you know exactly... more |

Expedia is the only site we have ever booked our international holidays on and I absolutely love it! The best holiday we've ever been on - a two-week trip to Orlando - was booked on Expedia, as was our honeymoon. Although there can sometimes be benefits of using package holidays because of the airport pick-up etc., we were comfortable to make all the arrangements ourselves and make our own way from the airports to our hotels. Expedia .co.uk is another travel/flight website i use to book my flights on and is one that i use a lot. I have used this website maybe 4 times now since i first went on it 5 years ago. The website is general is very well layed out and is fairly simple to use thanks to it's easy customer friendly userface. The flights are very cheap, for example you can go to Rome for £145 PP, beach holidays abroad for £187 PP, Australia (I went there with expedia!) for £311 PP. So as you can see the flights are not expensive, saying that all flights are getting more expensive every year now with fuel prices on the increase, this includes expedia too. There ... Beware if booking over the phone with Expedia!!
We just called Expedia to ask a question about a holiday we were about to book, and as the girl was so helpful, we ended up booking the holiday whilst on the phone.
During the booking process we were told 'sorry, the price has gone up £30 whilst you've been on the phone', which, at the time we accepted. It could have been possible.
When we went back online to check the price, the price hadn't increased at all! I now feel like I've been slightly diddled.
Anyone else had the same problem? It's put me off booking with Expedia again in the future.

I've just finished booking a break to Italy in September via Expedia, so I thought I'd write a review whilst it's still fresh in my mind. I've not used the website before, but I've heard good things about it. This review is focused on my experience of using the website itself, and not the actual holiday (as I've not been on it yet), or customer services, as I haven't had any problems. I started today by looking at the EasyJet website to see where I could fly to from Bristol Airport - we weren't really that fussed where we went, but were drawn to either Rome or Venice for obvious reasons! Once I'd priced up the flights (Rome was astronomical), I then thought ... Read the complete review

Expedia may be seen as a 'one stop shop' in terns of one's travel and accommodation requirements. I bookmarked it, which probably says where I'm coming from. In terms of personal experience, I used Expedia to book a flight-plus-hotel package to Thailand in April, and I was impressed by the variety of hotels on display. The site gives detailed at-a-glance flight information well in advance, thus helping one to plan your travel to and from airports. It also shows integrated price information for the day in question, although admittedly the price swings from day to day can be quite bewildering. What I also liked was the way that many of the hotels had ... Read the complete review
