Advantages: Cheap if not charged X2

Disadvantages: Awful customer service, Lack of respect for customers, Thieves

My partner and I booked with expedia in Jan and had a great trip. Therefore, we decided to book our next holiday with them. BIG MISTAKE. There was a website error and a message told me my booking had not been processed and to try again. So I did. It accepted payment. Then I realised I had been charged twice for this.

I contacted 'Customer Services' and was told their website was down and to call back. So I did and I was told someone would call me back. Nobody did, so again I had to contact them. I was told an error log had been created and it would take 3 days. 4 days later nothing had happened so I contacted them, again. I was rudely told that it could take 2 weeks for the error log to come through. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and I was told 'NO - You must wait 2 weeks for the error log, there is nothing we can do'. I asked for the duplicate holiday to be cancelled as I could not possibly use it. I was told that it could prove to be my fault and I would receive no refund if it was.

My partner then decided to contact them as I was most upset. He was told the 'Customer Services' supervisor was too 'BUSY' to speak to him. He eventually got to speak to a supervisor and...Got nowhere. He insisted a manager contacted him within 24-hours to resolve this.

The next day a Team Leader contacted us to say that the airline had agreed to refund the money and we would be refunded in 3-7 days.

9 days later and still no refund so I sent an Email to Expedia to ask where it was. I received a reply saying it could take 3 months.

I am so angry that they lied so many times. Their customer service ranges from appalling to zero.

Yes the prices are good - but not if you are charged twice.

I am being charged interest on my credit card and am awaiting a response from Expedia. Cannot say I am hopeful.

Hi there. Welcome to Dooyoo. A note about your opinion: I notice that before you had problems with Expedia, you had used them before. Giving a more balanced opinion detailing the kind of thing that other would be interested in like the website design, ease of use, range of goods and services etc. along with your problems makes for a better and more useful read, rather than just listing the negative aspects.
