Facebook is a really good site and is set out well. Upon registering you get your own 'page' and it's there for people to view. When you create your account it starts off private, meaning only people who are friends with you on facebook can view your profile, others can only see your picture as a small thumbnail. You can change it to public meaning people can view your profile without having you as a friend. On your page you start off with basic applications such as a 'wall' were people can send you messages and space to add videos and 'about you'. A good feature included in facebook is the ability to search which is in competitor sites but much less helpful and the results are poor, usually containing spam. This means that locating long lost relations, friends and family friends is much easier. All in all it's a great site with great features.
