Advantages: you can keep in touch with friends, share photos, create events, play games

Disadvantages: you can become a bit too fond of facebook

I never used to want to join facebook, because it seemed like just another social networking site, but when I went to uni, at which point it was exclusively for those at university, everyone was raving about it and i just knew I had to join to avoid being at a disadvantage.

From that moment onwards, I seemed to communicate with people ten times more than usual, Which i suppose is only a good thing unless you are avoiding somebody!

Events are so easy to organise with facebook's help, provided that your guests are using the system to.

Sharing photos is one of the best things about facebook and it saves people having to email each other copies of photos.

This all sounds great, and naturally there are some people who won't want to share their lives with the outside worl but will still want to benefit from what Facebook has to offer. In this case it is possible to restrict you can and can't see your profile and your information.

Generally speaking, it takes just a minute or two to join facebook and it's really worth it because it can make keeping in touch with friends so much easier!
