Advantages: Ability to find friends

Disadvantages: Privacy

I have been using the site Facebook for some time now as well as several other well known social networking sites. I feel that it has many advantages and disadvantages and perhaps its time could be limited.

This site is very good for anyone who wishes to find old school friends or long lost relatives etc. You can send out mass messages and set up events. It can remind you of your social events using its own built i events calendar. It attracts many visitors and word of this site has spread very fast in recent times.

The disadvantages are that even though you can protect your privacy somewhat, most people simply are not aware of this-particularly school children that cn fall victim to cyber bullying. All content submitted can be held and retained by facebook even if you delete it. It is being rivalled heavily by Twitter which is now increasing in popularity and so I feel that Facebook now has a very limited shelf life.

Summary: Worth a look but take care.....
