Advantages: Can find old friends

Facebook is a website for social networking.

You can search the names of friends and request them as a friend. Once they have confirmed you are their friend you then have access to their personal page, showing information and photos about that person.

It is really handy for finding old friends but you often have requests from people that you know and are not particuarly your friends you just want to rack up their amount of friends.

They have lots of different quizzes and applications (which you will waste HOURS on) and can send on to your friends. You can own a farm, see how many children you will have etc. All very pointless but addictive none the less.

You can also link facebook to your mobile for free so if you are away from the computer you can still send messages and accept friends.

The only real issue I have with facebook is that they are often "improving" the site and changing the layout. So by the time you have become familiar with navigating the site it then changes and you have to learn all over again.

Also because there are so many different applications you are bombared with invites and requests from friends - which can become tedious.

Summary: Once you join - you won't leave!
