Advantages: Free and lots to do
Disadvantages: None for me, I love it!
I can honestly say i'm a Facebook addict! I cant help myself.
Facebook is great for keeping in touch with friends if they dont use instant messengers or neither do you. Facebook has its own chat program too. I have friends from all over the place so its nice to be able to send them a message or write on their wall now and again and see how theyre doing. If you have added someone as a friend you can also see their status updates, another good way of keeping up to date with your friends.
Although Facebook is mainly a networking site like Myspace, it offers so much more.
You can upload as many photos and videos onto your account as you like and make it possible for all of your friends to have access to these. As i lived in Canada for a year it would have been a huge pain to show all of my friends my millions of photos when i got home. Facebook solved this problem for me.
There's loads of fun things to do on Facebook like silly quizes and games. I dont really do any of the quizes but its funny to see what my friends are doing and what outcome they get. I do play quite a few games on Facebook though like poker and at the minute im addicted to bejewelled. I find myself awake really late playing these games when i cant sleep. You can play a lot of the games solo but some, like poker, you can play with your friends and have your own little competitions.
Everything on Facebook is 100% free so there's no harm in trying it to see what you think.
Summary: Great website for fun and keeping in touch with friends
