Disadvantages: Privacy and facebook 'hacking'

Facebook is a social networking website that allows you to create a basic webpage of yourself where you can store photos, videos etc, make new friends and keep in touch with current and old friends. It also has a wide range of applications to make use of such as many games and networking tools.
You build up you facebook page by searching for and adding your friends/associates/family etc and they in turn will add you as a friend and you can then view each others pages.
It is very quick and easy to set up and you can be up and running in under ten minutes.
Facebook can be quite addictive as you keep checking peoples updates on their pages to see what they have been up to etc. and adding your own and if your not careful you can find that you are spending too much time on the site.
Privacy is one issue with the site but you can restrict who views you page i would just say be very cautious about who you allow to view your page and be you friend.

Summary: Good but watch it doesn't take over you life.
