Automatic Login:

Alot of dooyoo members who have written opinions in the "Suggestions for dooyoo" category have suggested an automated login system. This would mean that you would not have to login each time you visit the dooyoo website, but in fact the process would be automatic.

I recently e-mailed the dooyoo team with this suggestion, but as for the reasons given automatic login is not possible.

And here was their reply:

"The automatic login used on sites like bananalotto.com comes from storing a file on your computer, called a cookie. Unfortunately, this cookie isn't smart enough to know 'who' is using the computer at the time, and since we have many members who share the computer they use, either with their family, or with some students a large number of other students at the University, cookies can present more problems than they save.

If you use Internet Explorer, it will remember your login details for you anyway, doing the same job as a cookie, but allowing multiple users to have separate logins remembered."

So you see automatic login on dooyoo just isn't going to happen for the reasons stated above.


Weekly Account Statements:

A think it would be a great idea if dooyoo could set-up some kind of "weekly statement" e-mail for dooyoo members.
This would basically involve sending an weekly e-mail to each member showing the amount of points they have made so far. The email could also include information like the names of any dooyoo members who have added that particular member to their circle of friends in that week.
