Advantages: Win money for free
Disadvantages: It takes a minute or two of your time
I have actually won £20! It was Friday 16th February and there I was doing all my Tombola competitions thinking that no one ever really won did they – and I couldn’t believe my eyes! Lycos, the dog, had dug up four matching symbols to win me £20. I have been playing Lycos Fetch for about three months now. Until that day I had won nothing but I had heard of others who had won so I kept trying since it’s free. My perseverance has paid off and I have won £20. I originally began playing Fetch as part of the suite of Tombola games (see my opinion on Tombola for more details). The game itself is simple to play. A gamecard is loaded on your computer and Lycos, the dog, fetches symbols for you. At the moment he digs under mounds of earth in the garden to find the symbols, but the format changes slightly on a regular basis so you don’t get too fed up with it. The method of winning always remains the same – match 4 symbols and win a prize. Each of the symbols represents one the Lycos services such as e-mail, mobile phone messages, news etc, and you can click on from this page to any of the other services provided. The prizes now range from £10 to a share in a weekly jackpot of £5,000, depending on which symbols you match. The lowest prize has only recently been reduced from £20 to £10. When you win you are then asked to fill in name and address details and answer a very short questionnaire. You then get a confirmation via e-mail the following day and your cheque within 10 days. As I say I do these competitions every day. They’re free and don’t take too long so why not have a go? You now know someone who has really won!!!!
