Advantages: free movie screeings, easy to use
Disadvantages: same old questions
Firstmovies.com is a site that I reccomend you sign up for now. Whay do I say this? Well every once in a while they have advanced screenings for film's that are completely free. All you have to do is sign up and you'll get an e-mail telling what, where and when screenings are. Then you just log on and apply for tickets. Most of the time you'll get them allocated to you and sent in the post. Here's just some of the movies I've seen free as a result of this site. PITCH BLACK -months before UK release HIGH HEELS AND LOWLIFES CAPTAIN CORELLIS MANDOLIN EMPERORS NEW GROOVE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES -With director Q&A BRIDGET JONES DIARY To be honest there are probably more but I can't remember them. The site itself is very straightfoward and easy to access. They have film news and also hold weekly competitions where you can win film merchandise by answering easy questions. Whenever you've attended a preview screening they ask you to just offer a short opinion and answer a few questions. But these questions are always the same and it gets a bit tedious. But I suppose if you've seen a decetn film for free then you're bound to give the film good word of mouth which is the best form of advertising. At the end of the day you're saving yourself £4-6 on the cost of a cinema ticket and you're getting to see it before release. Somehow they just makes me feel slightly more important!
