Fish 4 has been running for quite a few years now and it is a site where you can search for cars, property, jobs, holidays and now even a date. I have to say I have only used it for searching for homes, cars and jobs so theta what i'll focus on. Homes --------- The seach site is quite limited so you cant find exactly what you want. For exampe you cant search for houses added in the past 14 days or so meaning you are looking through the same houses over and over again. www.fish4it.co.uk is a site that I am very familiar with as I work for one of the newspapers that contributes to it, however don't think that this review is going to be biased as a result. I have used the site to genuinly look for a house and a job so I am speaking from my personal experience rather than from a work point of view. Fish 4 Cars I have used this site the least, as I have a car that I don't wish to replace, but have occasionally looked at the site for other people. We have all seen the advert on the television with crowd of people dressed up as fish. They are being briefed and sent out round the country looking for…Well lots of things really, but mainly jobs, cars, and houses. Fish4 claim an online directory service featuring 1.9 million businesses. It is an excellent idea if it works so I decided to look at their web site (http://www.fish4.co.uk/ ) and decide for myself. I have found myself in the sad situation of redundancy (forced voluntary) and am desperate to get another job as fast as possible, preferably with only a few days inbetween to sunbathe! I looked on the employment service's website (which is okay) but found that you always have to choose such specific jobs to look for that you spend you life going back and forth through index pages. After seeing the TV advert for this site over and over again, I thought I’d check it out and do an op on it. The homepage didn’t tell me alot about what I could use the site for so I decided to click on the About Fish4 link to start with. The new window that opened informed me that ”Fish4 is the new Internet brand of four market leading consumer websites – bringing together three major service sites and an on-line directory”.
