Advantages: Lots of funny stories

Fmylife is a humorous blog where its users submit the content which is reviewed and then published on the site. The premise is quite simple - a person has an unusual event occur during their day, whether is be embarrassing, frustrating, stupid or silly and submit it to the site in the format of, 'Today...[event happened] . FML. With the abbreviation FML standing for F*** My Life.

The site is updated several times a day with the new 'FMLs', with them being ordered in newest first, though you can scroll through the site to find much older ones.

Along with the ability to submit these events to the site, users can rate each story as they see fit with two options, the first being an agreement of 'I agree, you're life is f***ed' the second being the less sympathetic 'you deserved that one'. The ratings are tallied up and depending on how many rates on each side the story gets, it will appear on the side of 'Top FMLs' - for the agreements, or 'Flop FMLs' - for those considered to be deserved. Of course, some stories attract large amounts of votes on each side and can appear under both sub sections.

The stories are also divided up in to categories as to what they are about - Love, Money, Kids, Work, Health, Sex and Miscellaneous. So if you want a laugh about a specific topic, this is the place to look. Whether something a bit naughty, or a giggle you could potentially share with the family.

There is also the opportunity to comment on each story if you register with the site, and here many users let the original poster know why they voted either way. Sometimes these can be amusing; however, as with many blog sites, these comments can sometimes get somewhat crude or be seen as offensive by some, so sticking to the main content of the site is probably best for the casual user like me, who just enjoys having a laugh every now and again.

The site is simply about people seeing the funnier side of the less than desirable events that occurred during their day. As such, the site is to be taken with a pinch of salt; it's all light-hearted good fun.
