Advantages: Entertaining, free, updated often so always something new

Disadvantages: Not definitely all true stories

Hi. My name is Charby, and I am lazy. I would love to go to Lazy Bastards Anonymous, but to be honest, I just can't quite be bothered. I am quite thirsty at the moment, and should really go and get something to drink, but I just can't quite sum up the energy to get out of bed. There's a small fire at the other end of my room, but it's so nice and cosy in here that I'll just wait for the fire engine to arrive and a nice fireman can carry me out of the house instead....

Okay, so I'm not that bad, but I will admit that I'm not the most active person in the world, or my town, or even this room. I blame this partly on the fact that it is how I've always been, and that people don't change, and the fact that since I live far away from town and have no friends who live nearby, there's not much for me to do anyway when I'm at home. I also blame my often lack of verticalness on how disastrously entertaining the internet can be. When you consider the fact that on my laptop I can watch almost anything televisual without paying or making much of an effort, as well as the wealth of knowledge available at my fingertips on the internet. There is no end to what I can find to distract me online, and I am going to talk to you about my most recent finding today.

The other night my friend sent me a link to Fmylife.com, and before I knew it, three hours had passed and I had done little else but read and laugh. Fmylife.com is a fantastic site, where users from all over the world can post a short anecdote about their life, which expresses why they feel that their life is a bit crap. Most of the stories are hilarious and entertainingly written, though there are the odd depressing ones that make me feel sad when I read them. The best of the stories are ones that are ironic in some way, but there are some that are downright cringe worthy. Although I do believe that most of the stories are true, some of them do sound very farfetched and I do doubt the validity of several of them, but even every single one on the site was made up, they are still funny and enjoyable to read.

The best thing about FMyLife.com is that it's completely free, and as such is a great source of entertainment. Since none of the short stories relate in any way to other ones, you can go to the site and read a couple if you have a spare minute, and since new ones are added every day, you're not stuck reading the same ones over and over again. Although this site isn't the funniest thing in the world, and a lot of the stories are similar so it's not something that you could spend hours at a time on, Fmylife.com is an entertaining way to spend a few minutes there, and reading some of the stories can make yourself realise that you're not the only person who has a lot of crap days.
