The Motley Fool.com was a precursor to moneysavingexpert.com, it is a site devoted to money, finance and financial products and issues. It has a website and sends regular emails if you sign up to their newsletters, these provide a mix of advice, articles and adverts. The site is very professionally created and has a number of calculators to help you look for the best bank accounts, pensions or ISA's, it has a wide variety of advisors and articles. Fool provides investment and general money articles; it also has forums and runs products such as an ISA and a share dealing service. When I first joined I only read the emails and the articles they linked to but now most stories are only accessible on the site. Fool has been going downhill as articles become more focused on selling affiliates credit cards or pushing Fool's own share tipping subscription service. The Foolish philosophy says to invest long term in carefully and independently researched value shares. I like the message but it quickly gets monotonous with many articles offering nothing new. I signed up to the newsletter, which I receive roughly everyday, but like most newsletters I don't end up reading everyone. I ask myself many times why do I bother signing up but then I find myself signing up for more as I might miss out on something. Now as much as I like the newsletters and the site, for me the majority of it is not really applicable as I don't have a mortagage, or a credit card, I don't have stocks and shares, I've already got the gas and electric on a ... Money means a lot to me and keeping track of it and getting the best deals is so important! You can really make and save a lot of money if you shop around and research products and offers and www.fool.co.uk really helps to take the legwork out! It's separated into two main sections, articles and comparisons. Comparisons take up most of the site but are really the crucial part of it. There are several comparison sites out there but i've found fool to be the best, in particular with regards to choosing particular options that you are really after. 300 credit cards, 8,000 mortgages and 2,000 savings accounts products are amongst the many comparisons made, ... I was pointed in the direction of the Motley Fool website (www.fool.co.uk) a couple of years ago, after the other half stumbled across it in the firewall log at work ? strange (possibly sad) but true. The Fool (TMF) is a financial and investment related website, aimed at ensuring that people get the most from their money. I would not be exaggerating ? at least not much ? if I said that TMF has changed my life and my financial outlook. · History and Background A US company originally, TMF was founded by brothers David and Tom Gardner. In 1997, the ... Read the complete review
