I'm a member of several community message boards and forums which relate to my hobbies and interests, e.g. crafts, astronomy, paranormal and money saving. I use the message boards for different purposes - sometimes I'm looking for specific information or advice from fellow community members, sometimes I'm just browsing and other times I just want to connect with other people who share my interests. My main issue with message boards and forums is that it can sometimes be difficult to interpret exactly how a statement is intended when it has been written instead of spoken. I am a member of many online forums and messageboards, and they can make up websites themselves as they are a fantastic way of sharing ideas and thoughts, giving and receiving help or advice as well as general chat about hobbies. All forums are of a similar format but look different. You must usually register to use forums, which requires some simple information such as your name, email address, a username and password. I am a member of gamefaqs.com, which is one of the best sites for forums. They are in association with gamespot as they're owned by them. You can get help on the forums about games as well as share your ideas and feelings. You can meet people ...  Read the complete review

Forums and Messageboards are ways people communicate with others on the internet. Personally I use the forums on the internet on websites like MSE, Student Beans to find out about the latest tips. I also use message boards on forums such as Ea Sports to get some helpful tips from other members on how to play certain games. Forums are better and safer to use are they are watched by moderator. However message boards are not and some people can abuse and send messages to you which you will not like. Forums have been very helpful to me on the use of the internet in my time using forums I have found out many tips which have been helpful to me. There are ...  Read the complete review

For any given hobby or interest there will undoubtedly be a forum somewhere on the internet devoted to it. There are those which focus on television, computer games, gardening, health, weddings, parenting, motor vehicles, travel, the list is endless! So what is a forum?
