Freecycle.

Freecycle groups match people who have things they want to get rid of with people who can use them.
Everything posted must be free, legal and appropriate for all ages.
I have been a member of freecycle for a few years and had some really nice items from them and made some friends along the way.
It all started When my other half was at the doctors and saw an advert so when he got home we looked it up. It was easy to join and we just had to wait for an email from ad min which came through the next day.
It has easy to follow instructions which helped me lol!!
All you have to do is send a message to the team offering an item for example
offered: table and 4 chairs and then the area you live in , you then write a brief description of the item you are offering once it has been posted members can email you asking for the item it is totally up to you who gets the item.
It is then private email's to arrange collection of the item.
You must never give your address in your post tho for your own safety .
You may also ask for an item eg : wanted: washing machine and the area you live in and this is done in the same way.
The first UK Freecycle group was set up in London in Oct 2003. There are now 494 groups spread across the country, with 1,722,575 members! and still growing.
This site is run by volunteers and from my experience they get quite a bit of abuse from some members.
Messages will be rejected if this format is not followed! Please also be aware that Freecycle lists can generate lots of messages a day, so you might want to subscribe to the Daily Digest option!
sometime i log into my email and i have over 100 email's lol.
The items i have received have been 32 inch TV, sofa, toys anything you can think of will go on there at some point.
You do get some strange offers such as bras or condoms (not used obviously) but believe it or not they do get taken.
You can choose what area groups you want to join and you can join more than one!
Membership is free :)
So to sum it up on't throw it away - give it away! You might not need that old sofa or wheelbarrow any more - but there might be someone just round the corner who does. Or if there's something you'd like, someone nearby might have one.
It s a site worth visiting and best of all its FREE , FREE, FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!
