When I first heard about freeloader.com, and about how they offer free games, I thought it was some freeware site offering the best freebies over the Internet. Because of this I decided not to bother looking. Fortunately I returned.

The deal is that by answering a few "yes", "no" and "perhaps" questions you are able to download games for free. The games vary from Tetris (which does look like freeware!) to Hidden & Dangerous, an excellent game published in 1999. Hidden & Dangerous is the only game that I've downloaded from the site and it does look and feel full-price, even though there seems to be many bugs lurking around inside it.

If you're thinking that you don't have the time to download a 650MB game, then think again. The games offered on freeloader.com are split into convenient episodes. For example, with Hidden & Dangerous you download Episode 1 (15MB) which gives you the game model and one mission. The once you've completed this mission you go back to freeloader.com and get Episode 2, and so on. Play-Per-View if you like, but with no cost.

If you occassionally dabble in the world of computer games then I would definitely recommend freeloader.com. If they can manage to add a few more top-class games to their collection then this review will be worth every one if its five stars.
