FriendsReunited is one of those sites that once you visit for the first time you become absolutly hooked on(A bit like Dooyoo).

The principal of the site is such a simple concept, I am suprised that it wasnt developed sooner, basically all the site is a list of people, the school they went to and the year that they finished. The site also allows you to define your primary school and a seperate sixth form college if that was the case.

Friend reunited is available in two formats.
The first is the free version, where upon registering, it allows you to select what school you went to and the year that you finnished. There is also an optional section were you can enter a brief description of what you are now upto these days. What this doesnt allow you do is enetr an e-mail address. All this format does is allow you to register and show your details for your school. If you want to actually contact some of the people on the list this is where you have to upgrade to the other package. This is just a case of registering your payment details over a secure site. Once this has been accepted this gives you the ability to contact ex-pupils this is done by double clicking on the envelope icon next to the list of your fellow pupils. This allows you to enter your message from within the site. Once you are ready click on send, This mails the person and also sends a copy of the message to your own mail address. The payed format also allows you to include a photograph of yourself next to your details.

Even though I only left school six years ago, after a stint at college, university and then moving away from my home town. I was only still in contact with two people that I had gone to school with. Out of about 250 people who were in the same year as myself there is about 30 pupils at time of writing registered on the site. Thanks to this site I now have regular contact with several of my ex-peers. So all in all this is a very successfull sit
e which I would highly recommend to everyone out there who wish to catch up with old friends, or even just be nosey to find out what people have made of themselves since leaving school.
