Friendster is a social networking site or an online community site that became big here in our country before we got to know about facebook and myspace. It will connect you to your friends, to your friends friends and so on, as long as you allow them to be your friends they will gain access to your account. Just like any other community site you have to register to have an account, provide a valid email address and a password. You can do anything to your account, put cool layouts and backgrounds, put music on it and you can even put videos, or you just send cool testimonials to your friends. They also have photo albums to put your pics, you can have it private or public. You can have your account private to be able to monitor who are those people who wants to make friends with you.They also have a blogging feature and now they have 3D stuff which I haven't tried yet, you can also use this site to earn money.

MY account

Friendster.com is my first social networking account, I had it for about 4 years now. I decided to join because that was the time I was graduating from college and this will serve as a connection to my college friends. I had my background change many times, I had videos many times and I maintain only friends that I know and some relatives. I don't usually have more friends in any of my account (facebook,myspace) , I don't know why but I don't want my account to look crowded with friends...LOL

Advantage:
Communication with long lost friends.
Compensation tool.
You can change backgrounds easily.

Disadvantage:
False accounts.
Communication tool is small. (like inbox alert etc.)

OPINION

Right now this is my main social site because lots of my friends are here, I read that this site is famous mostly here in Asia. I joined other site because I need it for some promotional writings, it may not be as popular as other site but I'm more comfortable with friendster.
