Froogle, now called google shopping, is a search site - just like www.google.com but instead of searching for articles or web pages, it searches all the internet stores that might stock the item.
The search engine then tells you the price, the name of the shop and a 'seller rating' which essentially boils down to a feedback rating system, not unlike eBay.
A great feature of this site, is that shops actually use it. That's right! I recently went into my local music store to buy an 'MPC 500' sampler. I asked what the guy could do for me price wise and he went on Google Shopping and then showed me all the prices and told me that he could do it for cheaper than all of them. This can DEFINITELY work to your advantage, if you are trying to pick up an item at a lower price. Ask if they do a price match, and then get them to type it in on google shopping and ask them to beat it!
