king.com
by bettyboop2002 WHAT IS KING.COM? King.com is a gaming website which allows you to choose from a vast choice of games for fun or for money. GET AN ACCOUNT Setting up an account takes only a couple of minutes, entering your name and email address. You will then receive an email from the website with a link to click to activate your ... account. If you want to play for money you will need to enter some further details, confirming you are over 18 and entering your card details to deposit funds to play with. WHAT GAMES CAN YOU PLAY? There is a really impressive selection of games so I think this site has something for everyone. The games are divided into categories: Puzzle, action, word, card, strategy and sport. Well known games include gin rummy, solitaire, scrabble, word link, pool, bowling, mahjong, backgammon, pinball, matching blocks and candy crush. You can play these games for free earning jewels to lock features on the website such as being able to message other players and blog. WANT TO PLAY FOR CASH? You can deposit using paypal or a credit / debit card. Withdrawals are through paypal and take up to 14 days. When you deposit you can choose your bonus. For a £5 deposit you can get £5 bonus or £3 bonus and £3 charity donation. You must play through 4 times your bonus amount before withdrawing. How much you play for is up to you. You can play against one other player in a head to head challenge, in a leaderboard tournament, knockout tournament or a head to head between 4 players. How much you win depends on how much you are playing for. If you play a 50p 2 player game it cost you and your opponent 50p, the winner gets 75p and King get the rest. A £1, 2 player game prize is £1.50. There are also large jackpot games with many competitors where anyone who finished in a set play (e.g top 50) in the table will get a cash prize. There are some big trophy games where the prizes go into the thousands. I think it's worth a fiver to play the cash games and see how you get on. Unless you're really good at games you're not going to win big, but you might win a few quid whilst having a bit of fun. WITHDRAWING WINNINGS If you're lucky enough to win and would like to withdraw it to a paypal account, this can take up to 14 days, until it is in your paypal account it is an active withdrawal. you may only have one active withdrawal at any time. THE LAYOUT The layout of the website is pretty simple, you have your account tab, games tab, community, support and deposit. From there on it's pretty self explanatory. At first I thought I was going to accidentally click the deposit button every time I clicked on my account but you have to enter a password to do this so luckily even when I accidentally pressed it, it hasn't taken anything from my bank. You can't accidentally enter a paid tournament as whenever you click play another box will open that you will have to click accept before the game starts. You have a meter which shows how many jewels you have gained through playing games and how many stars you have collected from different games. Reaching new levels by gaining a set amount of jewels and stars unlocks new features in the game. You can unlock features, new avatars and items for your castle which will be displayed on your profile page. The profile page is where you can view your awards, diplomas, jewels, cups and quests. I am quite new to the site but I can't see the point in the castle and a lot of these unlocked features seem useless. SUPPORT Whenever I have used the customer support section I've had any questions answered quickly and efficiently. You can get "prioritised customer service" by gaining VIP access. VIP ACCESS This is gained by filling up a meter to 100% through playing cash games. If you fill up this meter you will get VIP access for one year which will give you: - Prioritised customer service - Early access to new games - Special VIP tournaments - Daily fee spin with the Bonus Wheel of cash OVERALL I am fairly new to the site, I am quite good at the games and have won a few pounds but it's more of a fun site than a gambling site. I started off playing the free games to get to know the rules, and still play the free games if I haven't played the game before. You can add friends and blog and message people on the site so there is a social side to it as well as the competitive gaming side. I would recommend signing up for an account as it's completely free and if you find some games you like and are good at you can try playing for cash! I'm finding the games highly addictive! It's a fun site. Read the complete review |

xbox360achievements.org
by Seven17 I have ben a member of x360a for over a year now and in that time i have seen, actually, very little change in the site. If anything, it has slightly deteriorated due to glitches, errors, and lack of new achievement guides. Such deteriorations have pushed me to take on a much new and update achievements site (true achievements.com) and ... whilst i do return for guides from time to time, i do not really sign in and "enjoy" the site like i used to. I'll start with the bugs and graphics. The site looks quite old, it's got lots of pictures, borders and artwork with a general xbox theme but this has been the way for years and there has been no update. The gamercards on the forums and comment pages look absolutely terrible and the layout of the comments section for achievements? It's more crammed in and pointless than a simple shoutbox. There are several dead gamercards, even from newer users who sign up to the site and over time the gamercard changes and it breaks. The site constantly has "this gamer card is not available" displayed next to someone's user name and that disappoints me, not least because they will post a comment asking to boost and then you can't add their gamertag to boost... because you don't know what it is. Defeats the point entirely i reckon. The website is generally speaking "up" most of the time and very little maintenance work is done so the admins never close it down for work or page construction. New achievements are added very quickly, i have to commend x360a for being among the first to leak new xbox achievements even when a game hasn't been released yet. Forza horizon is the most recent example of this, they did have a fantastic full 1000G leak and many comments were up within minutes. For the guides though, they leave that to the users. the admins are nowhere to be found and when people do post guides, they are doing it for the simple "love" of writing guides. Nothing else. There are very few guides up for the newer games and even older games don't have some, or even take year to get even a slightly credible guide. Overall they are way behind true achievements and score hero but for the older games some of thir guides are unbeatable. I wouldn't recommend that you sign up for an account but do pop in from time to time to check leaked achievements for unreleased games and older game guides. Read the complete review |

bigfishgames.com
by Nik-Nac Big Fish Games is predictably a gaming site. It is my favourite gaming site, and one that I check daily. Every day Big Fish has a new game to play, and also a heavily discounted game exclusive to that day only. This is called the 'daily deal' and will not feature a new game, but rather a game that is already listed on their site. ... Game Prices ___________ The price on the games vary depending on whether you're a game club member or not. If you are not a member standard games cost £7.70, members pay £5.39 per month for 1 credit - this entitles you to a standard game. All other standard games purchased are charged at this same discounted rate. Collector's editions cost £15.42 for non-members, and 2 credits (or £10.80) for members. I am a member and I think the savings are significant enough to warrant the monthly fee. Credits also stay stored in your account so there's no need to use them within any given time period. Benefits of Being a Member (other than discounted games!) __________________________________________________ Members get a 'punch' on a punch card for every standard edition game bought (including those that have been bought with credits, and daily deal games) Collector's editions get you two punches. If you collect 6 punches during any monthly period you get a free game credit to spend. There are often deals on the punches (for example, buy any daily deal, get 2 punches) This makes it relatively simple to earn free credits. Members are given access to 'Tomorrow's Game Today' This means they have access to a new game a day before non-members. Not really a big deal, as non-members can play the very next day but a neat little perk all the same. Daily Deals are games that have previously featured on the site, but at the discounted price of £2.30 for members. A complete bargain for most games! Live chat member support is available to members of Big Fish. The customer support is excellent anyway, member or not, but this just means it's a little easier to get through to a customer support team member quickly via instant messages should any problems arise. If you're a loyal member you get a little gift in the post after a year of being subscribed. This comes in the form of a plushie Felix toy (the fishy mascot of Big Fish Games) It's rather sweet and a nice way for customer's to feel that they are appreciated. A list of all previously bought games are stored on the site. This means you can see at a glance which games you own, and can install them from here. It's so simple. Games download and play from the free Big Fish game manager. Oh, is that all? ____________ Well on top of all those benefits for members, Big Fish is really amazing anyway. The customer service is second to none. You can tell they really care about their members and staff are often seen in the games forums talking to customers who have problems and trying to sort out technical issues that games occasionally have. Games can be played for an hour as a demo before committing to buy them. This is a reasonable amount of time for anyone to establish whether they enjoy the game or not. It's also a good way to pass time without spending any money. The website also makes suggestions about games you might like to play, based on games you've bought in the past. I've found this really helpful and have found a couple of gems that I'd not spotted before. The forums are great. There is an individual forum for each game, where you can look at a walk-through, read reviews, and find helpful hints and tips from other members. You can also post here if you're stuck with a specific game and someone is sure to help you out. It's a very friendly community. Big Fish release games that are suitable for both PCs and Macs. So You recommend Big Fish? ________________________ Most definitely. I couldn't even hazard a guess at how many hours enjoyment that I've had playing games from this site. Just for you lot I've just counted how many games I've purchased and it's sitting at 125 games (yikes!) over a 4 year period. I've never been let down by the customer service or the professionalism of the staff. Games are always updated on time, and it's obviously a website that's run very efficiently. There are all sorts of games available to suit almost everyone. There are games suitable for children and adults. There are hidden object games, adventure games, match 3 games, puzzle games, family games, word games, strategy games, and my favourite time management games. With so much choice it's easy to spend a small fortune, but the hours of fun are so worth it. Thank Cod for Big Fish! Read the complete review |
