Warning - Stay well clear of Gardening Express. Two months after placing an order & them taking payment, some of my order still has not arrived and what did was not very well packaged therefor damaged. Following their web instructions raising support tickets doesn't work as they are ignored, I've sent 6 in total. This company has absolutely no redeeming qualities. I wish I'd checked web reviews before ordering. At least, unlike some of the other customers, I did receive some of my order and I'm trying to nurse the poor quality plants back to life. I don't give GE any star rating but to allow this review I had to tick 1.

I too have been taken in by Garden Express. Took my money and haven't delivered, following the path as described by other victims - do nothing until challenged then say the order was sent today. But it wasn't and there has been silence ever since. I have written off the £156 spent but have not written off pursuing recompense. All injured parties should keep at them.

I've unfortunately had dealings with this company twice now - one being a tree that my Mum bought for me from Gardening Express as a gift - which arrived with very few branches left due to absolutely awful packaging, and the other an order I made myself as I thought I'd give them a second chance - but never ever again.
5 of my 8 plants have still not arrived - 5 weeks on - and the 3 that did are very poorly. I've raised a support ticket regarding my missing items but this has been ignored, and I've called their helpline 4 times but you don't get put through to anyone.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. ANY GARDEN CENTRE WOULD BE MUCH MUCH BETTER IN ALL REGARDS.

I am £399.60 down with this company. No plants, unable to communicate with them etc. Their very dubious business practice seems to be -make loads of false promises they can't possibly deliver on, take your money immed. for plants they don't have, earn interest on your money all the while, wait for you to complain/cancel your order, & only refund you when/if court action seems imminent. My guess is (& many blogs I've read would support this) most people just give up chasing them & write off what they are owed. Therein lies the 'founder's' modus operandi! The worse thing is they had the gall to sign off my order confirmation 'Happy gardening' - their idea of humorous irony???? Avoid at all costs. They don't deserve even one star. I'm just about to log on to MoneyClaim online!!!!!

Do not use this company. Very quick to take my money but have not sent my plants, nor do they have a working phone line, nor do they reply to any online queries. Thoroughly disgusted. Could possibly be a scam. Not even worth 1 star rating.

Website looks great so I placed an order for about £300. Nothing has been delivered over a month later. The only way to contact them is by leaving messages on their website. They do seem to reply to these but very vague, making excuses and false promises. I am attempting to cancel and get my money back but I'm not expecting that to be easy either. I wish I had not bothered.

I have used this company many times - and don't think they deserve the bad ratings here - all the plants i have ordered are great, and delivered in the seasons stated on the website, even if this was two months after ordering. It is exactly the same with other gardening sites and catalogues, except i find GE's quality second to none.
