Advantages: free sms, free phone email alerts, easy of navigation

Disadvantages: none

This is a good perk if you own a Orange mobile phone. They have their own website now at http://www.orange.net
The site itself is decked out in The colour Orange to match their logo but they offer some excellent online perks that you don't get anywhere else. One of the best is the e-mail account that you can open with them eg *******@orange.net , doesn,t sound much on it's own but it doesn't stop there because they have a second service that they offer with the e-mail and that is if you register your phone number you will get e-mail alerts sent direct to your mobile.
It's great as a e-mail address to give
to friends or family as when you get a alert it tells you the size of the e-mail and who sent it so if your waiting for a important message you know exactly when you recieve it.

That's not the end of the goodies because they also give you 30 free text messages each month to send from the site which can save you £3.00 from your mobile bill.

There are other services as well like you can arrange to get a whole host of news, the latest sports scores or even your daily horoscopes sent to your phone. You have a wide range of topics to choose from and it's easy to set up or cancel. One snag though and that is that this service is not free though it costs you 12p per day, well at least thats per day and not per message.

Here are the information services available from the site itself, news and weather, sport, travel, entertainment, and directories these all have subsections that you can browse through as well like you can look at local or national news or international. The directories come under services, business finder, people finder, local information, city jobs and last minute deals. A whole host of information at your disposal.

Then theres the my services section

e-mail - here you set up your e-mail account and mail alerts

diary
- Here you can have an online Diary and an all important birthday reminders. The birthday reminders is another free service which can help you out. All you do is input birthdays whose it is etc and they'll send you a reminder 7 days before, a sevice i find very handy indeed. The names you add are also put into your online diary as well. Your online diary is a handy feature as well where you can store important events or things you have to do.

SMS - the link for your 30 free text messages

Text media setup - this is where you can set up the news scores etc to be sent to your phone

My account - Here you can look over everything you could want to know about your Account - best for contract phones as you can pay your bill online etc. They do an extra service here as well where you can arrange to have all incoming calls sent to any line in the UK

My profile - here you can alter your personal detail and the alerts and various services on offer

O-Magazine - An online mag from Orange that is quite good though it doesn,t cover a great deal but they've got some good things here like compo's and some hot info on latest inventions etc

Phone fun - here you can lay your hands on some new rintones or logos - mainly for nokias though

One of the things that i really like is that you can customise the look of your page as well, by adding or removing channels from the page till you get it how you want it. Plus another feature that i love is that it has high security - if anyone tries to access your account if they fail the log in for 3 times in a row your account locks up for 1 hr denying all access, not bad. The only other sort of things they have is things like their own search engines etc but i think we all know what they are for. The site is very straight forward and navigation is simplicity itself.

All in all its a handy site especially if you use the Orange network - check it ou

A very good op but may I suggest that you make sure you get your spelling correct, especially with URLs as some lazy people like me are tempted to highlight and drag addresses, but otherwise good |8->
