I have been using flashcards for quite sometime now and these are undoubtedly a great asset to anyone trying to learn a new language. While I admit I can't regularly peruse the daily email-digest I get, I try to do a batch-full-of-'em every now & then and this also helps. The email is formatted nicely enough to be rendered on a ... I love getting daily sentences in my email. I can also quickly see the translated ions of any words and add them to my queue. When I go tot he web site, I then have a personalized set of flash cards to practice in various ways. The example sentences also really help the understanding since you can see the word in context

My mother tongue is Bulgarian but I know English. I enjoy receiving the automatic mails and reading the daily sentences like a good routine. I have asked three Germans whom I know to make time together in German but still waiting for somebody's agreement. While waiting to practise for real, I am very thankful to have the chance to study by myself.

3 years ago, I spent 4 months learning German. I now live in a city where German speakers are impossible to find. This newsletter is just the right amount of daily exercise to keep the vocabulary and sentence structure fresh without having to have a dedicated time for German practice. On the rare occasion I do meet someone that speaks German, I'm still able to communicate thanks to this site.

The German Flashcards service is an outstanding one that is free or very reasonably priced (depending on which option--with or without voice--one chooses). I have been using it for many months as one of my principal study aids. Communication with the administrator is facile with rapid response times. One of the respondents ... Read the complete review

German-flashcards.com is an incredibly useful website for those learning German. Every day, you get a new phrase on your e-mail, very well deconstructed and explained, so you can learn new vocabulary and grammar. You can configure the level of the phrases and words received, when you receive them and more. All in a very easy to understand interface, either on the e-mails or the website itself. I've only traded e-mails with the administrator a couple of times, but he seems very friendly and open to suggestions and improvements. A very worthy website for language lovers looking to expand their vocabulary, since most phrases are useful in everyday life! Also, remember to check the website for other languages (there's a wide selection avaliable), as for those who are learning or are interested in learning multiple languages, they're very useful!

When I first moved to Germany, I took 3 months of private and intensive German lessons. I learned a lot in a short amount of time, but these lessons are super expensive. I was looking for an alternative to learn and practice new words and sentences in an affordable way when I stumbled upon "German-Flashcards" via Toytowngermany.com. It's fantastic!! I check email everyday and at least one email is a lesson or reminder from this website. I get to choose the words and sentences that I want to practice. And, I can take words out and put new ones in if I choose too. The sentence translations are a bit strange sometimes, but I get the gist. This program gives the user control. It's free, user friendly, and a great learning experience. Thanks!

German Flash cards is the best site for learning and practicing German that I've come across.I've been learning German for some time, however the oral bit of it has been tricky since my teachers do not pronounce certain words with the right precision. The site offers an audio function that has greatly helped me in this field. They use native German speakers. Though one has to pay for it,the price is minimal compared to the benefits. They've a large library of words and sentences which ensures that you get enough practice from beginner to advanced german. Another plus about this site is that it enables you to EASILY practice what you need by keeping words or sentences in a loop. The interface is simple & easy to use and their assistance is fast. One downside, however is that some few words don't yet have audio attached to them

Hey all, I'm a student at a german university but not in germnay. I take basic german courses there, so i have the basic knowledge. This website is the one I've been looking for a long time ago. I became addicted to it , i love learning languages and this is the best website you could ever find that could teach you german and increase your vocabulary in no time. I've been on it for like 1 month now, and i've learnt over 130 words until now by heart and now am able to read more german texts than before, all you need is just 15 min every day and at the end you can take a quiz. Let alone the sound capability i can now pronounce most of the words and even the complex ones.

Hi, I moved to Germany 3 months ago with no idea of where to start to learn german. I spent alot of time searching the web for a good inexpensive way to learn german as fast as possible. My wife (who is German) heard the audio files and said " thats the one ". The format is easy to use and the sentences of the day are things that are used commonly. The flash cards with audio are the best i have seen and the pronunciation is great, ( just ask my wife ). German-flashcards.com is a fun easy way to learn German.
