GirLand.com is a great website for teenage girls. I joined when I was 12 years old and spent a lot of time on the Bulliten Boards, in the GirLand city where you could chat to other Girland members and have an interactive character which you could dress up and change hairstyles. The main attraction in Girland city was the park where you could chat for hours and make new friends. There was a safe emailing system called gmail (girl mail) where you could send messages to your online friends. I joined Girland when I was about 12. I am now an adult and no longer use the website; however I used to love it. It helped me with a lot of issue's I had while growing up and I made a lot of internet friends. One of which I am still in touch with. Everything on the website is monitored, including the chartroom and message boards. So any parent should feel safe allowing their child on the website. GirLand is a site mainly for teenage girls, although it does have some male members too. The site is packed full of things to do, so much so that I think you would find it impossible to do them all in one day! Not only does it have the best of site from it's past i.e. Bulletin Boards, Problem Pages etc. it also has new updates and features. Girland City (its own virtual world) has also had several updates throughout the years and I feel that this is also great. It is much better than the old chat rooms the site used to have. I have made all my best online mates on here and it's one of the only places I feel accepted for who I really am. Been on there since 2002 still here in 2007 it's that good I really reccomend it.
