this site is not the most pleasing to the eye. As far as I can tell they take a lot of vacancies from other recruitment sites, as I kept seeing the same vacancies I had seen earlier looking at other recruitment sites. You can't search by area which is intensely annoying. They do however have very many jobs, which makes me even more sceptical as to where these positions come from, and how up-to-date or out-of-date they are. The services they offer are standard and there is little to confuse, but my advice would be to go elsewhere ... Read the complete review

While I have not used the Internet for a job search myself, I was asked to search for some vacancies on behalf of a friend, and after looking around I was quite impressed with the sites I have found as a result. One of the sites I stumbled across was gisajob, the kind of name you would associate with a site set up by schoolchildren, and my initial thoughts were that this couldn’t be a very professional or reliable service, but I checked it out all the same. After I had put my initial bad feelings behind me, I have to admit I was quite impressed with what I found. Very much an IT/Computing/telecomm oriented site, this had a number of vacancies and ... I recently moved to London, where it was recommended that I try placing my C.V on the web through on-line recruitment agencies. I had put all my details on various other sites, but most of them were having no results or pickings that were offered were not the jobs I was looking for. A friend recommended that I look at Gisajob.co.uk. I was a bit sceptical about the site as the name of the site slightly too cheesy for my liking but luckly for me it was the site that I had been praying for. BACKGROUND: Gisajob is mainly an IT and Technology based recruitment site. The Advertising banner on the home page lists an impressive array of clients that ... Read the complete review

Fantastically easy to use...if you know what you're looking for! (Thankfully I do) The best thing about this site is that I didn't have to register to apply for a job, which features on so many sites these days. It also contains a lot of details about the agencies you are applying to, if that is the case. It found nearly 100 jobs for me, most of which were suitable, and they were placed in handy lists of 10, so it didn't take too long to trawl thourhg. The only disadvantage of the site I thought was that you can't search by location (unless I missed it), and I don't really want to uproot and pop 500 miles down the ... Read the complete review

I have this site on my favourites but dont tend to use it. There is not a big range to choose from in way of search areas - things like personnel and sales/marketing are included but nothing general such as admin or secretarial so I would say it was a site for specific professions. They seem to have good links to agencies and companies if you want to check them out. The services they offer are free search, jobs by email and CV storage. Overall it is not easy to move around in and the biggest thing wrong is you cant search by area which is really frustrating when a job comes up and it looks good but it is not in the area in which you live. ...
