Advantages: Get points, even if you are screened out of a survey
Disadvantages: Takes a while to get your cheque
Global Test Market is a market research company based in America which specialises in online surveys to get their research.
Setting up an account is really easy. It takes a couple of minutes to do and asks for information like your address and name-it is a lot like other survey sites. Once, you have an account, you are asked to complete the several profiles available, so that they can match surveys to you easily. Once you have done this bit, you should receive emails inviting you to take part in surveys.
The number of surveys that you are asked to do does vary quite a bit. I have never gone more than two weeks without receiving an email from them, but I don't always get them every day.
Instead of getting a certain amount of cash for each survey, you get a certain number of points. If you qualify for the survey, you get up to 100 points for it. If you don't qualify, then you get 5 points as a thank you for your time. The number of points for each survey does vary, but depends on the length and how quickly they want people to complete the survey. The points get added almost instantly. Sometimes, there is a bit of a delay, but I have always been awarded the required number of points withput having to complain to anyone, which is a plus.
I have found that the surveys take between 20 and 30 minutes usually, but some take less time and some do take more time.
To be able to redeem your points, you first have to reach 1000 points. This is the equivalent of US$50. You are paid your hard earned cash in the form of a cheque, as is paid in pounds sterling-the amount you get does depend on the exchange rate. When I redeemed my points, I got about £30, which was a nice little present in the post! As the cheque comes from America, it can take up to eight weeks to arrive, but I got mine in about six.
I have to say that this site is one of my favourite survey sites. I like it because the surveys are not usually that repetitive and boring. If you don't qualify for a survey, you do get some points for your time, which I like as it all goes towards the total number of points you have. It is also nice to get that cheque in the post as it is nice to treat yourself to something, or just to help with your bills, etc.
The only downside really for me is that it does take a while for the cheque to arrive through your letterbox. Six weeks is a long time to wait for something these days, or it seems like it to me (or it may be me being impatient, as usual).
Overall though, I would recommend this website to anyone. It may not make you rich, and you may not be able to make a living out of it, but extra cash is always handy, especially at the moment.
Summary: You wont get rich, but its a bit of extra cash all the same
