Disadvantages: Be careful of the small print

I was surprised that this website hadn't already been reviewed on the Dooyoo site.

This web site is a comparison tool and does everything from the standard Car and house insurance to savings and mortgages, from gas and electricity prices to flights and hotels.

The site is very easy to use. The initial Home page is split into all the different areas so it is simple to click on your area of interest. I have predominately used this site for insurance quotes, but I do have a dip into the travel section every now and again.

The site is simple to use having large buttons to click throughout the site so navigation is clear and easy. The insurance sections do require a lot of input, as you would expect but it is quite logical and does have quite a few drop down menus which do select well when you input the first digit or number of your answer.

The site is fairly quick to load up - there are not too many pictures so that helps the speed of loading.

I have found that the quotes given are from the usual companies and are usually competitive. Though I have found that sometimes I can get a better deal going to the insurers web site directly.

If you do get a policy from these websites it is sometimes worth a quick phonecall to confirm some of the details. I nearly got caught out with a Tesco policy on the site that I thought was a good deal, but it turned out the protected no claims only applied for the first accident if you had any more then you would lose your discount and another policy which was with more than had protected No claims for the life of the policy. Both just stated protected No Claims discount.

I find this web site good for giving me an overview and perhaps a few idea of individual web sites to visit.
