Advantages: Good Range of Products and Services, Great search engine, Various for each product and service..

Disadvantages: Some disads with Google Maps which raises some privacy & security concerns .

I started using Google a number of years ago and have become very fond of it as a search engine.

Although it is very popular mainly due to it's search engine and that's how the phrase 'Google That!' came about....Google is an internet portal that provides a wide range of products and services, some of which can be accessed through the www.google.com/ or http://www.google.co.uk/ (UK):

Google Web Search Engine: This always provides a wide range of results and you can narrow down your searches by using various characters and words.
In my opinion, I'd say the results from the search engine are accurate 99.9% of the time and I always find what I am looking for compared to a couple of search engines I have used, I now stick to Google...:)

Gmail: This is Google's email service. I have a Gmail account and find it quite handy to use, I prefer their calendar and 'Google Docs' to other internet emails you can read my full review on Gmail if you need to know more about it.

Google Earth: This is one of Google's popular and more recently released services that has had some major publicity; it is a mapping program that takes aerial images from a satellite.

Google Groups: This has the social networking aspect of Google and enables people to have discussions about common interests using conversations or via email.

Google Video: This is used to share videos and enables publishers to publish their content to their target audiences.

Google Software: Google also provides software like Google Desktop (desktop search), Picasa (digital photo editing), SketchUp (3D modelling) which are used for the functions I have highlighted in brackets..

Others include 'Blogger' for blogging and the Google Translate site which can translate several languages then there's Google Adsense for advertisers to reach their target audience and for users to earn revenue from the ad revebue by posting adsense ads to their blogs and websites.

I also use Blogger and have incorporated Google Adsense into my blogs and have earned some revenue through it.

I have checked out Google videos too from time to time and have found it pretty easy to use (like youtube but the Google version..) and you get some Google videos in your search results.
I have watched a number of interesting videos: one I remember vividly was about how to make pizza!:) and you can find a lot of similar videos and others...

One the whole, Google makes being online and using the internet easier and a pleasure to use. I'd highly recommend...
