Google still the king of search (google.com)

Advantages: Easy to use, fast and sccurate results

Google are slowly but surely taking over the world, starting from humble beginnings as a basic internet based search engine they have introduced more and more applications over the last few years and (in my humble opinion) have become the second largest internet company after the giant that is Microsoft.

Google.com is a search engine that is often copied but never, I'm afraid to say, beaten. All you have to do is write what you're interested in and hit a button. 99 times out of 100 it will pop straight up. There are numerous advanced search features almost none of which the average internet user will ever use. You can if you so desire search strings, excluding words and specific phrases but none of this is really needed unless you are searching for the web equivalent of John Smith.

I do not like Google as a giant corporation but even I can't fault their basic search engine.
