As far as I know Google is the only website which is also a word in the Oxford dictionary.

Not only each of us must surely know that Google is the most used search engine, but also that expression like "you can google it" or "google this or that" are now part of of our language.

Google was set up by two former researchers of an American university who worked on a specific algorythm which was able to crunch mllions of weblink and give the results in a fraction than a second.

To date, Google is a very fast and relaible search engine. Just type www.google.com in your browser and then type in the search field what you are looking for and the results will pop up fast.

Google is free to use and the revenues they need to keep operations going come primarily from advertizers. When you search on Google, advertized links are clearly marked.

Today it is not only searches that can be performed from the main Goole page. You can have a free email address, at Google mail, you can search for directions and places with Google maps, you can get up to date information on the financial markets and fundamental data on stocks with Google finance.

I have a back up email address with Google mail, and I also use their Google maps quite regularly. Most importantly I use Google literally every day to pull up known websites and to do searches.

I recommend Google to everyone.
