Google is probably the most famous and the most successful web brand in the world and has even become an adjective (Google it!). It's certainly up there with ebay and Amazon anyway!

When t'internet first became widespread, there were search engines I probably used before Google, Yahoo/Ask Jeeves, but now I never even think about them. It's Google all the way. That's because they are the best, it's easy to remember their web address, they have a UK search engine, not just an American one, and 99.9 per cent of the time, they find exactly what you're after. You can also search via Google news, which is very handy, if you want to look at what's going on around the world, as it takes news from sites all round the world. You can also look in images, which can be quite useful, especiallly for random photos of things! It's fast, no waiting ages for it to load, a real advantage.

One of the things I also like about Google is the little pictures it has around the Google header on the front page of the website, this is obviously personal to each country too, as today it had a poppy on there. It has had Seseme Street on there all week, it's just a nice little way of cheering you up!

I'm not sure what would happen if Google disappeared (the world would implode surely?) because I never use anything else! It's the best out there.
