Google is a great search engine that is well known and probably most used. It's definately the first one I would think of to use before Bing, MSN, Yahoo or any other.

The search engine is great and brings up all the search results related to what you want in virtually seconds. It's extremely easy to use with very few buttons to have to learn about what they do, and the toolbar is an added bonus as you don't have to keep going back to type www.google.co.uk in the address bar every time.

It's also easy to search for any image you would like to find. Across the top of the screen to the left hand side it says 'web', then next it says 'images'. If you click 'images' it comes up just like the web, but whatever you type in, lots of images will show up related to what you typed in. Most of the results found on there are also downloadable in the Windows applications on your computer.

Across the top left of the screen next to 'images' it then says 'maps'. It doesn't yet show the whole world, or anything like that, but I know that the whole of the UK has now been covered! This is a great navigator type thing to use if you have access to the internet on your mobile phone.

Those are the main three things on google, but there is also google mail where you can set up your own email account with google. Google Mail is really simple to use and I prefer it to Hotmail.
