I have a few sites in my RSS reader (Google Reader, reviewed previously) that exist purely to lighten my day a little bit. Google Sightseeing is one of those sites!

Not affiliated or endorsed with Google in any way at all, Google Sightseeing is a site that exists to give a daily dose of interesting things found in Google Maps and also Google Earth. Subjects can range from the worlds largest something, to historical monuments, mistakes in the mapping or even strange goings on in street view.

Posts usually include some interesting facts (with links to Wikipedia).
