“ The complimentary therapy website. „
Got a call from these guys a couple of months ago. Checked out the website and thought it would bring clients to my hypnotherapy clinic. Paid them around £180 or so, to develop my page, but ever since I've joined them I haven't had even one client or even a client enquiry for that matter from them. Phoned them up to say I wanted to cancel my page, however one of their sales guys didn't let me cancel it. Instead they told me that they'll run my page until I've recovered my cost with them. One question, how am I going to recover my costs, if I don't get any clients from them in the 1st place??!!
Just thought I should tell other practioners to be careful when dealing with these guys, they'll persuade you to join on terms that you'll enjoy benefits in joining them, but in reality you'll just lose your money!!
I couldn't disagree more with the negative review suggesting GoToSee are somehow fiddling figures in the first week to avoid you charging back a transaction. I have been with them for 18 months now and I am also a hypnotherapist and all I can say is I have done very well. I appear high up across my local area on the search engines for anyone looking for my services.
I got 15 new clients last year and following a slow start this year it looks like I am now on track to get at least as many again this year. On average two clients would cover the advertising costs so I am well into profit.
What I liked about GotoSee.co.uk was the fact that they offer a value for money guarantee where if you don't cover your subscription fees they market you for free. I have researched them on a number of forums such as healthy pages and the overwhelming feedback seems positive.
Dont bother wasting your money, Work on SEO instead or google addwords. I am now signed in for 12 month contract yet I have had no referals since the first week. The first week I had 9 hits on website yet that conicided with uk law that everyone has the option of canceling in the first week of any online transaction. Since that week I have had 1 person view my site in 6 weeks that was refered by gotosee which comes no where near the testimonial claims. I have done everything i can possibly can to appeal to customers yet I think the main factor is that GOTOSEE are just not marketing themselves enough to attract the potential clients to their site.I would not waist your money. Good luck fellow therapists.
I first found gotosee.co.uk towards the end of last year when I was searching for a local osteopath. They describe themselves as 'the UK's fastest growing online complementary health and alternative medicine resource.'
The website is divided into various sections -
1. Find A Practitioner
2. Find A College Course
3. Learn About Therapies
4. Learn About Ailments Conditions
6. Free Classifieds for Practitioners
7. Natural Health Products
At the heart of the wesite is a therapist directory with over 1,600 practitioners listings. When you search for a practitioner (as I did) you select your chosen therapy e.g. Osteopath, Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist etc. (there are 50 therapies listed) and then you enter your full post code. This is important as all the search results are presented in mileage from the location you enter. The listings have loads of inforamtion about the therapist, background, specialties etc. I found the pages really useful as you get lots of useful information which helps you make up your mind on who to call.
Something I found really useful was the Body Map/ Ailment page. It's got a slick body map facility where you highlight an area and then see lots of conditions and medical ailments relating to this area. I have a bad back and used this to read and learn about Sciatica and then find out which therapies could help.
The site also has loads and loads of articles and they seem to add more every month. They are really useful for helping learn about therapies and how they can help with specific ailments e.h Hypnotherapy helping the fear of flying.
In addition to the ailments area you can read and learn more about therapies and the governing bodies etc. in the Learn About Therapy page.
One final thing I have used on the site from time to time is the Natural Health Products shop. It has everything from Herbal Products to Vitamins & Weigh Loss Products.
All in all I have found this site very useful for learning about therapies and locating my nearest practitioner.
As you can probably tell I really liked this site. I found it easy to use and navigate and visit it regularly to see the latest products and read the latest complementary therapy articles.
