Advantages: good cashback rates, lots of retailers, paid on time!
Disadvantages: none
General Information:-
GreasyPalm is a cashback site that offers its members the chance to earn money through their purchases or by signing up to various competitions, credit cards, survey sites etc. The amount of cashback you receive varies with some retailers offering cashback amounts in the form of a fixed amount and some offering a percentage of your order on that site back to you as cashback.
I joined GreasyPalm after being told about it by money saving legend Martin Lewis's website 'Money Saving Expert'. I now use it almost exclusively as my cashback website as the site has hundreds of retailers on there from eBay to Play.com.
Basically the system works as such:-
1 - Make sure you're logged in on greasypalm
2 - Search for where you're going to buy the item from i.e. Play.com
3 - Read the details about what cashback is offered etc (some show 'coupon available' also and offer discounts
4 - Click the link to the retailer
5 - Shop as normal on the site, when you have ordered your item/s from the site the name of the place and value will show in pending transactions on your account
When and how much?:-
When your account reaches £25 or more you go into the 'payment run' which happens at the begininng of each month, payment by BACS (bank transfer)
Don't shop online much?:-
No problem, you can register credit and debit cards on the site and then when you shop at places such as Little Chef, Halfords and JJB Sports your cashback will register even for high street purchases!
Extra money?:-
There's a section for 'no spend cashback' that will give you a few extra pennies as well as a 'daily cashback' area for a few pence a day clicks.
Referrals?:-
Refer friends via your referral link and when they reach £15 in cashback in their account you'll get £7.00 added to your account!
Legit?:-
I've been paid twice by them (over £100 cashback on there now) and there are many hundreds of happy people who have had similar experiences.
What's the catch?:-
No catch, the way it works is advertisers pay Greasypalm a percentage to advertise and offer the cashback service (incentive to spend with them) and Greasypalm simply give you a portion of this back as a thank you.
Customer Services:-
Very good friendly customer services department, slightly slow sometimes but this is due to the vast amount of users.
Summary:-
A fantastic site giving you a bit of money back on purchases you were already going to make! brilliant, especially at christmas or birthday times!

- 13/01/09 greasy palm as an established site is reliable and does pay out , but for me they take far too big a slice out of the cashback - personally i prefer quidco and topcashback
ve ry good review though! |
