Advantages: Good if you shop online a lot, some good cash back for trials and banking

Disadvantages: can take ages for your cash back to be verified - £25 minimum payout

Ive never really been one for cash back sites, the main reason being that I do not do much shopping online, and when I do I often forget to go through the cash back site - as I write this I realise I have made a couple of purchases on Amazon today and forgotten to go through a cash back site!

I joined Greasy Palm because someone suggested that I should as they give cash back on Ebay purchases - I do alot of shopping on Ebay so I thought I would give it a go.

When you join Greasy Palm you get a £2.50 sign up bonus to get you started which I think is quite generous.

There are many ways to earn cash back, the most obvious one is by shopping online and recieving a percentage of your purchase as cash back. Other ways to earn money are signing up to newsletters and offers, taking part in free trials, signing up to other websites and registering for freebies.

I think the best way to earn big lots of cash back is for things like applying for credit cards, switching bank accounts, signing up to bingo/betting sites and taking trials with places like Love Film and Blockbuster.

To recieve a payout you must have accumulated at least £25. This amount must have been in your account for 30 days and payouts are made one a month.

I do find Greasy Palm a bit frustrating because it can take a while to get your cash back approved. For example I took part ina free trial with Blockbuster for which I should recieve £8, however I did this in December and it is now May and the transaction is still showing as pending on my account and it is because of this one transaction that I have been unable to recieve a payout yet, I have around £20 of confirmed cash back and I need that £8 to be confirmed before I will be able to get a payout.

If your like me and forget to go through cash back sites before making your purchases, Greasy Palm offers a rebate catcher, if you install it every time you visit a website which you can earn cash back from, the catcher will log it with Greasy Palm so you will recieve your chas back. You will be rewarded with 20p for installing the rebate catcher too!

Personally the only purchases I have made through Greasy Palm, are through Ebay, this is not very lucrative because you do not actually get a percentage of what you spend as I thought when I joined up, what you actually get is a percentage of what Ebay makes from the sellers fee for the item you have purchased. I find that I am better off using my Necter account where I get a point per pound I spend, but when I forget to go through Necter, the rebate catcher picks up on my purchases - though if your not using the rebate catcher it is advisable to make sure you go through Greasy palm both when you bid and when you pay to ensure that your cash back is awarded.

Also if you get a new computer you need to remember to re-install the rebate catcher, which I forgot to do when I got this laptop and writing this review has reminded me!

If you do alot of shopping online then this is a great site to use. Its easy to navigate and it set out in sections and categories so it is easy to find where you canget cash back from, you can also enter a shop into thr search and if you get cash back for that site it will come up with a link for you to go through.

Im not going to make any real fortune with Greasy palm, but when Blockbuster finally give the okay on my cash back from them I will recieve £28 straight into my bank account, thats £28 for doing pretty much nothing, so Im not grumbling!

Summary: Great if your a regular online shopper and make sure you use rebate catcher!!
