Advantages: An added reward if you're shopping anyway.

Disadvantages: Cashback does not always get paid into your account.

I first discovered cashback websites about six months ago and joined quite a few of them but Greasypalm.co.uk is not one I am a big fan of.
Cashabck websites basically involve getting a little bit of cashback everytime you shop online if you fist go to the cashback site and click through to the retailer via the site. However, this is not the only thing you can do, you sign up for offers ie. competitions and survey sites and gat a small reward for doing so,such as 50p. Some offer daily clicks, where you can click through to a site and get maybe 1p for doing this, greasypalm only seems to offer one of these though, the Highstreetweb gets you 2p a day. Another thing you can do is join gambling websites and you usually get a better return for your money, for example join Jackpotjoy and deposit £20 and they will give you £20 cashback........easy money,or so you might think.

Becoming a member of bingo and gambling sites I thought would be a great way of getting cashback, but I found that often I was not paid the cashback. I would deposit £10 but when I didn't receive any cashback I'd lost £10 instead of making some money, and I'm not a big fan of gambling so I would have never have done this normally without the incentive of the cashback. This happened to me a few times and although you can report missing cashback nothing seems to come of it. I have also had £15 from one retailer in my account and it has been pending for about 5 months so I am not confident I will get that anytime soon.

I once heard that cashback sites are great if you are going to do the shopping anyway but never take up offers just to get the cashback, it is an added bonus if you receive it. I wish I had listened to this advice when I first started doing this and then I wouldn't have lost money.

On a more positive note I did receive a payment of £32 which went straight into the bank without any problems. They pay out after you reach £25.

Summary: Never spend money just to get the cashback or you will get stung
